Honoring Iconic King Features Characters 

Get ready to celebrate some of King Features’ most legendary characters onboard Comic-Con: The Cruise! We’re honoring The Phantom, the 45th anniversary of Popeye’s 1980 film, and the 45th anniversary of the Flash Gordon film —and we’ve got something extra special for Flash Gordon fans.

Sam Jones, the Original Flash Gordon 

Sam Jones, the one and only Flash Gordon, will be joining us on this unforgettable 2025 sailing! Sam has appeared in over 75 films and numerous television shows. He is best known for his iconic role as Flash Gordon and has starred in The Highwayman, The Spirit, and as Stargate SG-1’s bounty hunter, Aris Boch. He also gained widespread recognition for his comedic performances in TED and TED 2. 

Special Guest: Artist Marcus Williams 

In addition, we are excited to announce that artist Marcus Williams will be joining Comic-Con: The Cruise’s Artists’ Alley! He is an Atlanta-based creative whose freelance work with media giants like Cartoon Network, Marvel, DC Comics, and Amazon shaped his career. He co-created the hit comic series Tuskegee Heirs and is now making his mark as a writer/artist with his latest project, EyeLie Popeye, reimagining Popeye for a new generation.
